Jason Dafforn

Jason Dafforn is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of California with over 27 years of experience in both private and public utility management and oversight. Jason is a graduate of Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering. He has been managing public utilities for the past 13 years with a passion for environmental stewardship and public transparency.
Jason is a certified Design-Build Associate with significant wastewater construction experience previously providing oversight of a 5-year Capital Improvement Program in excess of $500 million including several large projects such as a $40 Million upgrade to an existing 8 MGD wastewater treatment plant, a new $30 Million Design-Build 0.8 MGD Membrane Bioreactor treatment plant, a $250 Million 4 MGD wastewater treatment plant expansion, a 4-12 MGD phased regional wastewater lift station. He has worked on several other projects ranging from $1M to $10M which included building upgrades, pump stations, lift stations, reservoirs, wastewater collection and water distribution system upgrades, and a renewable energy project.
He was born and raised in Northern Indiana and transplanted to Southern California in 2007 where he became a fixture in the public utility sector.
Jason, his wife Melissa, and daughter Brynn relocated to the Coachella Valley in 2023. Jason and Melissa played co-ed softball together for 10 years and have recently joined the pickleball phenomenon. They look forward to future recreational opportunities in the Valley.
