The Solar Power Initiative Project is complete and operational.

The District constructed a 1 Mega Watt Solar Power Project at the Water Reclamation Facility site in Indio, California.

The District has a Power Purchase Agreement with Tesla of San Mateo, California to provide 1 Mega Watt of PV Solar Power for twenty years.

The project provides approximately 42 percent of the power needs at the Water Reclamation Facility.
